160 Fleet Street Chambers is a barristers’ chambers set up specifically to give you direct access to a barrister.
We can handle a matter from start to finish: From initial advice, identifying merits, setting out the options, strategy, tactics and procedures. Then: drafting claims, defences and other documents like witness statements or Home Office applications. We can prepare full court bundles and appear at any court or tribunal on your behalf. Our barristers can also conduct litigation on your behalf, as an alternative to you being a litigant in person. We will negotiate a settlement with the other parties if so instructed and can undertake other services not spelt out here – give us a call to discuss.
Our aim is to get the result. The services we provide will be in response to your needs. No two cases are identical so we will respond specifically to your matter. As far as we can, we create a package to meet your background circumstances.
In conference we will explain the legal side of things properly, look at your options and clarify the procedures to follow and the deadlines that must be met.
If there are further fees they will be explained in advance at each stage and will need your consent.
People ask “Can you appear in any court or tribunal?” Well, yes. Our barristers accept instruction to appear in all kinds of courts across the country; including Magistrates, Crown and Central Criminal Courts, First Tier and Upper Tier Immigration Tribunals, The Court of Appeal, The Supreme Court, Property Tribunals, Family Courts, and Employment Tribunals. We also attend internal disciplinary hearings and we make Injunction Applications.
As the name would suggest, 160 Fleet Street Chambers is based slap bang in the heart of it all in central London, halfway between the Royal Courts of Justice and the Central Criminal Courts (Old Bailey).
Any works to be done for you by a barrister will be agreed with you in advance and set out in writing in a letter of engagement called a Client Care Letter.
