160 Fleet Street Chambers provides a reliable and easy-to-use service for customers who need fully-qualified professional legal advice and representation. You can meet and instruct a barrister directly, skipping the solicitor and thus saving time and money. Direct Public Access simplifies the process of hiring a lawyer. It can give you a better understanding of the legal process and put you more in control.
A direct access barrister can bring continuity to the management of a case. They can be involved from start to finish: handling documents and drafting, correspondence and negotiations and in court attendances and advocacy.
Talk to the chambers’ staff: They know how to look after clients. Ask how this could work for you, step by step. There’s no obligation to proceed but we can explain what’s possible.
How to engage a barrister
Normally you’d start by meeting the barrister to discuss your matter, get the barrister’s advice, consider your options and make a plan. This is usually done face-to face but could be by phone.
But if you are in an emergency, do call. We can sometimes go straight to court, to a custody suite or a detention centre.
How it works:
Quotes and payments are discussed, agreed and settled in advance of each new phase of work. It can be like Pay-As-You-Go.
Ask us how this could work for you. There’s no obligation to proceed but we can explain what’s possible.
